About the client:

Geneva Tourism & Conventions Foundation is the official government body of Geneva that manages tourism for the entire city.

Their mission is to promote Geneva as an active tourist destination for both business and leisure, to welcome and inform visitors and to organize tourist events for millions of visitors every year.

Arcs & Curves has partnered with Geneva Tourism since 2018 to create awareness and consideration from GCC travellers about Geneva as a leisure destination, within the GCC social media landscape.

OBJECTIVES

Promote and sell Geneva as a tourist, leisure and business destination among GCC travellers in a post-covid scenario

Convince GCC travellers about the safety, suitability and compatibility of Geneva with their cultral sensitivities.

Provide as much information as possible to potential travellers through social media and position social channels as an outreach platform.

Offer day-to-day updates of key happenings and events in Geneva.

STRATEGY:

Tasked with promoting Geneva as the top luxury leisure destination in Europe, it was key to understand the behavioral dynamics of travelers from the GCC. We researched and created detailed user personas to help us chalk out a roadmap for content creation and targeting.

Applying principles of inbound marketing, we divided the buyers journey into three stages -  Awareness, Consideration and Decision. This helped us produce the right content for the right type of audience.

Granular targetting based on regions and seasons was key to our success. Collaborating with the right regional influencers helped provide wide exposure to the brand and raise both awareness and consideration for Geneva.
